App List - Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to me. I try to collect as little information as I can, and never share the information I do collect with third parties, unless described otherwise in this policy.

The following privacy policy covers how I collect, use and store your information. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Information I collect and how I use it

I collect and process all your personal data in accordance with the relevant data protection regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG).

Primarily, all information entered into App List is stored in a local database on your device. This information includes:

• Metadata about Apps you have added to App List: App Name, iTunes ID, Version etc.
• Tags you have created
• The primary storefront you have selected

All other settings (for example your list entry configuration, or if you want to enable background updates) are stored locally and never leave your device.

I do not collect or store any other information about you. This includes analytics data.

CloudKit and iCloud

App List uses Apple CloudKit to sync the database entries between your Apple devices (for example iPhone and iPad). Your data is stored in a private CloudKit database, which is encrypted with an account-based key. Therefore, I do not have access to any data stored in your iCloud account. I also do not have access to your Apple ID, but only a unique identifier that is scoped to App List. It is not possible to track your identity between apps with this identifier.

If you do not want to sync your App List data between devices, you can turn off Cloud Syncing in the App List settings. You can also delete existing App List data in iCloud in the “Advanced” section in App List settings.

iTunes Search API

When you add an App to App List, it queries the iTunes Search API and the App Store for meta data about this app. This API is provided by Apple and is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.

Your Rights (under the GDPR)

• You have the right to obtain the confirmation as to whether or not personal data of you is being processed.
• You have the right to obtain information about your stored personal data and a copy of this information.
• You have the right to rectification of inaccurate personal data and to erase personal data as long as we are not required by law to store the data.
• You have the right to withdraw your consent to processing of your personal data at any time.
• You have the right to object to processing of your data.
• You have the right to data portability.
