Cryptical - Privacy Policy
Your privacy is very important to me. I try to collect as little information as I can, and never share the information I do collect with third parties, unless described otherwise in this policy.
The following privacy policy covers how I collect, use and store your information. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Information I collect and how I use it
I collect and process all your personal data in accordance with the relevant data protection regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG).
Primarily, if you add a password or passphrase to your Password List in Cryptical, some information is stored in a local database on your device, which never leaves your device. This information includes:
- The password or passphrase created by Cryptical
- The date at which it is added to the list
- Any other data you have entered for this password or passphrase (e.g. comment, user name, URL …)
All other settings (for example the currently selected character set) are also stored locally and never leave your device. If you chose to protect Cryptical by setting a passcode, this information is stored in the local keychain on your device.
I do not collect or store any other information about you. This includes analytics data.
Your Rights (under the GDPR)
- You have the right to obtain the confirmation as to whether or not personal data of you is being processed.
- You have the right to obtain information about your stored personal data and a copy of this information.
- You have the right to rectification of inaccurate personal data and to erase personal data as long as we are not required by law to store the data.
- You have the right to withdraw your consent to processing of your personal data at any time.
- You have the right to object to processing of your data.
- You have the right to data portability.
